My N360 isn't recognizing my external HD.
I ran NPE
I did warm and cold boots.
Reinstalled software
I am able to access said HD from windows.
Please advise.

I think the operative word here is "external." Backup options are the C:\ drive or the Documents folder. I don't believe there is a setting to backup other drives.

You need to map your external drive to a drive letter in Windows Explorer for Norton to be able to recognize the drive as an available destination option.

1) Are you wanting to use Norton Backup to backup your personal files to an external drive?
2) Are you wanting to use Norton Backup to backup your personal files from an external drive to Norton Cloud Storage?
Did you plug in the external drive?
Does Norton Backup recognize the external drive?
for example: #1
Note: When you reinstall Norton. You'll need to re-create your backup sets.
Note: Your Norton product does not back up your files automatically if the backup destination is local backup. Backing up to local storage devices needs your intervention.
