Password manager import data from .csv file on Imac

HI, i have just installed Norton360 and safe web (V1.3.5)onto an Imac running Ventura. I can access the vault etc but cannot find how to import logons from .csv file. I can find various support articles, but when it comes to using them I cannot find where the 'import files' is situated on the various vault screens. Has it been removed on this version? If it still exists, where is it please? Thanks for looking Eric

Re: Password manager import data from .csv file on Imac

Hi thanks for the reply.

I am using Norton Safe Web Plus  and the solution just isn't possible. There is no function when i open my vault to import any files as per the instructions given on the recommended page.

Could it be that Norton, in their infinite wisdom, have removed the ability and not updated the support advice?

I have included a shot of the top right hand corner of the vault, where Norton states the import function should be....

For the record  I am using

Norton Safe web Plus V1.3.5 (69)

Norton 360 Build 76, layout ESD

I have a file exported fromLastPass in .csv format, ready go andante to change to NortonPassword

Any help would be gratefully recd.

Cheers

Eric

All: How to post screenshots. Opening pdf files are very risky, most users here won't touch them.

FWIW!! Per your screenshot you are using the safe web extension. You cannot import your password using safe web. You MUST open your Norton password manager, and perform it from there.

Import logins from LastPass (non-binary version)

  1. On the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Norton Password Manager icon.

  2. Sign in to your vault.

  3. On the top-right corner of the Norton Password Manager extension, click  and click Import data.
  4. In the Import Passwords window, under Source, select LastPass.

  5. On the top-right corner of the browser window, click the LastPass icon.

  6. Click More Options, then click Advanced, and then select Export.

The logins appear in CSV format in a new tab.

  7. Copy the information and paste it in the given text area.

  8. Click Import.

  9. In the Import your Data window, select the logins you want to protect in your vault, and click Import.

  10. Click Finish.

Import logins from LastPass (binary version)

  1. On the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Norton Password Manager icon.

  2. Sign in to your vault.

  3. On the top-right corner of the Norton Password Manager extension, click  and click Import data.
  4. In the Import Passwords window, under Source, select LastPass (binary version).

  5. On the top-right corner of the browser window, click the LastPass icon.

  6. Click More Options, then click Advanced.

  7. Click Export and then select LastPass CSV file.

The logins are exported from LastPass as a CSV file.

  8. Click Select File and navigate to the CSV file which was exported from Dashlane You can also drag and drop files into the box

  9. In the Import your Data window, select the logins you want to protect in your vault, and click Import.

  10. Click Finish.
