Annoying Norton popup window titles Status Update

Earlier I started getting a Norton popup window in the lower right corner. The window had the Norton logo and the title "Status Update". In the body of the window it said "analyzing (a file name) now...". Each time I clicked the X for the window another one would pop up with a different file name. it seemed it did this about 20 times and then finally stopped. During this, I think a scan history window popped up, but I don't recall seeing anything related to the Status Update popups. Contacted Norton Support, but could get an answer. The support tech just wanted to analyze my Norton installation even though the popup had stopped.

i the history it would show the file or files sometimes would show submitted on right, but on left would say download analzing file xyz.... ow words to that effect

Hello DLW Harleyman. You can view a listing of recent events in Norton Recent History AND ALSO under scan results. Use the Show drop down menu to navigate to the one you wish to review.
