n360 not installing on android phones

recently renewed n360 10 user. Ok on w11 pc, but both android phones did not install. One samsung one xiomi, both android 12. I uninstalled the current n360 and used the norton link which directed the phone to google play. But on both phones it reported 'not latest browser' and did not install n360. 

i uninstalled the browsers and tried both edge and chrome in turn, then defaulted to that browser. i then retried the n360 link, but it still reported 'not latest browser'. One one occasion it reported the browser was IE [ it was chrome].

remember to remove it on the home site My norton and then reinstalle it

Just open the Google Play Store app on the phones and search for Norton 360. Install from there and during the install process look for a Sign In, or I already have an account and tap on that. Sign into your Norton Account and that should activate 360 on that device.

problem solved. The download link is fine for PCs but does not work for android phones. Direct install from google play and sign in got the phones up and running.

Norton 360 has just renewed and I've uninstalled/reinstalled app from Norton website link, Google play store and downloaded it again from my Norton account - still won't open at all. It installs OK, but when I try to open app, it continues to go back to apps screen. It won't open at all, so I can't sign in, download updates etc etc. Nothing. I have cleared the cache from my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled....not a thing. HELP! Norton Password Mgr, VPN apps are also installed and updated. They work fine and open as intended without problems.

Have you tried uninstalling 360, restart your device and just go directly to the Google Play Store app to search for Norton 360. Install from there and look for a Sign In or I already have a subscription link and tap on that to sign into your Norton Account to activate the app.

Hi. Yes I have tried doing this, but exactly the same. I tried uninstalling all Norton products, reinstalling them too. Just the same. All Norton apps, except 360, work normally and I can sign-in and use them normally. 360 still shows as installing fine, then I goto open app, The main yellow app screen with Norton logo appears.......and then closes. It lasts about a second. No other information is shown, no sign-in boxes, nothing. It's as though the app is opening, then crashes/closes. It goes back to whatever screen I opened it from at the time.

I've tried going through support article steps, but same thing happens. I did see a pop-up box, stating that this version of 360 was incompatible with Android 13!. However, before I could take a screenshot, it disappeared and went back to app screen. Also, when I've installed app and clicked on 'open' app box, it had a white information box open, saying Fetching account details' or words along those lines. The app then stops/closes. I've tried installing/reinstalling over a dozen times and same thing happens.

And you are installing directly from the Google Play Store app? That worked for the OP here.

Another thread here has users on Android 13 on Samsung devices seeing the same issue as you.

I have escalated both threads to get Norton's attention.

Yes, I went directly to Google Play store and installed it. I'm at a loss what to do now.

Hello. To solve the issue (so far), I had to restore phone back to 'Factory Settings'. I then used my phones back-up and restore settings (from the cloud), to restore all settings/apps etc etc. .....Except for Norton 360. Once phone restored and was working normally, I then went to Google Play store and downloaded/installed Norton 360 again. This install then worked fine (I was able to open/log-in to my account without problems). So far, everything is back to normal. Not a good solution by far, but seems to work on my phone (Samsung A53).

Definitely not the solution that should be necessary. Another user did the same thing to resolve the issue they were having.

Hopefully Norton can gather enough information to duplicate the issue in house and come up with a fix.
