Last evening I noticed that the Norton Secure VPN associated with my Norton 360 for Windows wouldn't connect. I saw this error: "Attention Required: Secure VPN has Experienced an error and disconnected. Please try again later."

After a search on Norton Support the only "cure" for the issue was to Remove and Reinstall Norton 360.

This issue appeared on 3 out of 4 Windows 10 PCs ( 1 Home 64 and 2 Pro 64 PCs). Only my laptop PC didn't have the issue.
I have removed and reinstalled Norton 360 for Windows on the 3 PCs and the VPN works again, but I have to wonder what else may have been corrupted (I'm assuming a live update was the cause) that the program wasn't capable of warning me?

It is possible that you may not have needed to reinstall 360. Sometimes just a system restart will resolve the issue. Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. One thing I have noticed in the past is that if I start seeing strange network behaviour, when I go to restart the computer I find that there are some pending Windows updates. The restart fixes the issues I was having.

The first thing I always do is restart the PC when something won't work (I also have fast startup disabled on all my PCs so that shutdown doesn't act more like hibernate) .Restarted each PC and it had no effect on the VPN failure. I also went to help/get help in the Norton 360 classic window and the Norton automated checks ran and indicated it couldn't find an issue.
