SMS Phishing 360 Not Catching

Receiving phising texts which 360 is not catching. YES, 'SMS Security is enabled". YES, texts include URLs. Incoming text format also disables button to "block number". Can only delete the text. REQUEST: Perhaps Norton can include a 'Report Phish' button where it forwards the text to Norton, deletes it from device and blocks the sender number? Device is Galaxy S9, Android 10.

First, good catch that that is a phishing attempt. Many people do fall for the scam.

Are you using the default messaging app on your device?

I use an iPhone and the spam MS messages get sent to a different 'folder' in the filters section of the messaging app. Is your image from the main messaging app page? Did you try tapping on Block Number? Norton should not block that, and it may be some Android setting. Is the Block number button blocked out on all your new SMS messages?

No filter is going to catch 100% of the spam.

Hi Peter, Thanks for your response.  Yes - I am using the default messaging app. Yes - It is a screen capture from the messaging app. I did try the block number button but it isn't actionable (greyed out) for this "number".  It does work for other texts which have actual phone numbers.  I'm thinking the sender somehow spoofed the sender's number to includer letters so the app doesn't recognize it as a number, and therefore the "block" number feature is not available for the text.  I will submit the enhancement request to perhaps include the function to click a "Report Phish" button to Norton product team.  Better yet - perhaps Norton can provide their own messaging app for Android platforms so they can have better visibility & control over the growing use of SMS to circumvent security/privacy.

The sender is probably using email to send the text message. That would explain the letters added to the phone number, and why there is no option to block the number.
