NPM - How does it work?

I have  NPM on my samsung s22 and Lenovo Laptop (Intel Core i5-1135g7 @2.40Ghz)

Windows 11 Home v22H2; Firefox 113.0.2 (64-bit)

I expected NPM to be able to generate, save or retrieve a password automatically when I log into a website. It only happens occasionally and I don't understand what conditions are needed for NPM to reliably behave as expected? Or is my assumption incorrect about how it is supposed to work?

I  have not been able to find an infographic or schematic of how NPM integrates/overlays with my devices. This type of information is not provided anywhere and I can't find tutorials that might explain it.

Any help would be welcome on this.

Could you direct me to the specific video. I've not yet found the one that answers my questions.

Re: NPM - How does it work?

Norton Password Manager works very well for me and tends to be a very intuitive piece of software. By that I mean you must interpret and anticipate what it is doing and play along with it.

That said if you are referring to the auto-change feature that is still spotty in my opinion and does not work with many websites. If you are referring to capturing your ids and passwords I have the "ask" feature enabled but do not use it since website urls can be different than what you expect them to be. For example, a bank website might be something like bankusa.com but the login website for that bank might be entirely different and that is the page you must setup in NPM. This can be a little non-intuitive.

You might also try calling Norton support for any specific questions or go to support.norton.com and doing a search.
