If Norton 360 always runs in the background, there is absolutely zero reasons to require a desktop shortcut.  Yet, every single update it keeps adding it back.  Why why why???

Probably because many people still like to start their programs from the desktop?????

Its the default in the installer for the patches. Nothing we users can do to prevent it.
