I'm using the Comcast provide Norton product and Windows Vista. I am unable to remove the backup drive using the instructions that worked from someone previously.
Make sure that you take a backup of registry before trying these steps:
1. Click Start > Run.
2. In the Run dialog box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{0579E89F-E364-4a3d-A9CB-90262B2B7E1C}
4. Delete the key 0579E89F-E364-4a3d-A9CB-90262B2B7E1C
5. Exit the Registry Editor
6. Restart the computer.
The Norton Backup Drive will disappear after you try this.

Kiddjt,
Did you try the solution given here
Turn off tamper protection, Run command prompt as an administrator and run the command "regsvr32 /u bushell.dll"

Re: Remove Backup Drive in Norton from Comcast
Do you mean it wont unregister or that it does unregister but did not resolve your problem. In any event Comcast has its own support area.
Please refer to www.norton.com/comcast it might help.
