Error message 3038,104 Uninstall/Reinstall did not fix

Can't scan...product shows no updates needed when I checked for updates...Uninstall/Reinstall tool didn't work...it removed but did not replace...downloaded Norton Security from your website...still get the error message whenever I try to scan...

Suggestions?

Had same issue - I down loaded  the deep scan software - have not had the issue since

Also have you restarted your computer ? If you have Windows 10, this needs to be done for Norton to correctly operate.

Also, fast Start Up should be disabled.

The link you sent was for an older version of Norton, and the page said "The document that you are looking for is unavailable"

Yes, I restarted the computer more than once...

Turns out that the remove and reinstall tool did not download the program as it should have and my husband and I reinstalled the product on our own...

Seems to work fine now...

Perhaps Norton should work on solving the Fast Startup issue themselves...

It is not just a Norton issue with the Fast Startup feature. Many other programs need to get a complete system shutdown so that running system files can get updated with the program. You do not get this complete shutdown with the Fast Startup feature enabled.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
