Doesn't the Norton Security interface need a refresh?

Am I the only one who looks at the annual updates of the AV competitors and thinks "Why hasn't Norton been updated?" The interface has been the same for a long time, suggesting that it hasn't had much development. Is that just a superficial judgement? Have any significant features been added?

Personally, I find that changing a program's interface when there is no reason to do so, is just confusing to users. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Or it hasn't had much development.

And why do you equate the development of the code to detect malware and protect your computer to a flashy new interface? I would rather the coders make use of their time to keep my system safe, rather than having a pretty interface.

OK - all I'm saying is that no change to the interface means no additional user features have been added.  I think I'll try Kaspersky.

And what additional features are you looking for? I just want a security product that works to protect my system. When you get feature bloat, you get performance issues and more chances for bugs in the code.

That is not true.  Recent new features like Search Shortcut Key and Public Network Exceptions have been added to the settings without an overall redesign of the GUI appearance.

Hello

Kaspersky has been removed from government security vendors lists because of their Russian ties.

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 2004 N 360 22.20.5.39 Chrome latest version.

bhudda, trust me when I say stick with Norton.

I have tried other vendors such as Kaspersky and Bitdefender.

Every time I've installed Bitdefender, it has crashed.

What you need is reliable protection, and that's what Norton gives you.

This link is for Windows 10,  but what I've said applies to other OSs.

Re: Doesn't the Norton Security interface need a refresh?

I think the interface could use a downgrade. There's such fancy scrolling that it is harder to use the product with a just a keyboard.

I also understand the program has such a fancy GUI that screen readers (for blind users) do not work properly with it.
