The Autochange Password feature of Password Manager supports automatic changing of your passwords for several websites without navigating outside the application.

Do not close the tab or access the content present in the tab, when Autochange Password changes the password. Do not switch tabs, as it can interfere with the automatic password change process.

How does Autochange Password work?
The feature works by directly logging into the websites and generating a strong password on your behalf. The new passwords are generated locally by Password Manager and are transmitted in a secure manner. The newly generated passwords are saved in your Norton Password Manager vault, for which only you have access to.

A green header appears on the tab if the Autochange Password feature successfully updates the password for a website.

A red header appears on the tab if the Autochange Password feature fails to update the password for a website.

Sorry for the issue you had faced.

When you Clicked "Fix Now" from the compromised password alert, by any chance your Vault was already Open ?

1. If vault was open -> then your new password should be updated in the existing Login OR new Login should be created automatically if not exists

    If vault was closed -> then post auto changing your imdb password you will be asked to open your vault 1st, after which your login will be updated with new password OR a new login will be created if does not exists ?

2. In your vault by any chance did you see a Login created with a Title containing "AutoChange Failed" for imdb site ?

If yes, that should have the changed password

This could be have happened if Auto Change password failed in the final step due to some Site changes.
