App lock stops working

I have Norton app lock on 2 Samsung devices. It works well on my phone but on my tablet it works sometimes but I regularly find that I'm not being asked for my fingerprint/pattern to log onto my apps. When I go to accessibility on settings it shows that the app lock is off. I have no idea why this happens. Any ideas?

What Android version is on the tablet?

One thing to check is in Android settings. Check for any battery optimization settings for App Lock. Be sure they are turned off.

Also in Android Settings > Apps, tap on App Lock, and scroll down to advanced settings and be sure Appear on top is allowed.
