The problem is the solution was sent in a private message, so I can't see what it was! It seems I need an older version of RNRN but can't find one.

Basically, I'm missing an inststub file in old Norton, and when I download NRNR it says it is corrupted, and won't work. There is simply no way to remove it, and without doing so I can install the current norton!

Help!

The thread you linked was for a user on Windows 7 and using an older Norton Internet Security product. Is this the same OS and product you are using? If not, What Windows version are you using, and what Norton product are you currently using?

You generally do not need to uninstall your current Norton product to install a newer Norton product. As long as your current product is working correctly, just start the install of the new product and it will take care of removing anything it needs to make way for the new product.
