Bank website detects new location on every login

Every time we log in to our bank website on the desktop, it detects that we are signing in from a new location and they have to send a security code. This does not happen on the laptop in the same home. How can we stop this?

That would be normal if you are using the VPN feature of your 360 product. The bank web site sees you signing in from another IP address each time so they are just protecting your account by requesting the secondary confirmation that it is really you.

The VPN is off and this only affects the desktop computer.

Re: Bank website detects new location on every login

You can try deleting your browser's cache and cookies for your bank's web site. This cleared up issues I had with one site that kept asking for captcha authentication.

If that does not help, do you have any difference in browser extensions installed on the two systems? Try disabling the extensions on your desktop and testing your connection to your bank. If you can connect without extra authentication, then turn them back on one at a time until you start having the issue again. That will help identify which extension is giving you trouble.
