Software Updater specifies that the newest version of one of my Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables is 2005.0.2.15346. But that version is not available via Microsoft. If it exists, where is it?

The software updater in 360 is not ready for prime time yet. Better to just manually update apps, and allow Windows to update it's features.

Hello raskew. What product/application is the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable needing updating as pointed out by Software Updater? I have found SU not a mature application in its current form and do not recommend using it for that reason. @Ru5B3n To date there isn't a "dedicated" forums board specifically about Software Updater. As Guru peterweb and myself have posted the Software Updater feature is NOT a mature feature with the Norton products. My personal recommendation is don't use it, rely on the OEM of the software you have installed to get your updates from. Including OS / system updates and other drivers. There can be instances where the computer could be rendered un-bootable due to incorrect drivers, etc. being installed that aren't compatible.

I'm told the teams review the forums on a regular basis. Being that we Guru's don't work for Norton we aren't privy to any other information other than that unfortunately.

Its a security update for the package in question. The latest one. As stated previously the recommendation is getting your updates from the original creators. Windows updates SHOULD have updated this package long ago. What is the OS and version you are running if I may ask?
