Tiny Banker Trojan

I got scammed today apparently by the Tiny Banker Trojan pop-up on the computer screen. It said Windows Defender identified it and to call Microsoft immediately. I called and after a while with the help of my daughter we figured out it was a scam.

I want to know if Norton scans for this Trojan on every protected device on our home network?

Re: Tiny Banker Trojan

This kind of popup is generally created by a malicious ad on the site you are viewing that redirects your browser to the scam page. Norton does not block redirects because many web sites use them for legitimate purposes. Norton uses them all the time on their own web sites.

To help prevent these redirects you can install an ad blocker extension in your browser(s).
