What does "Sync Vault" do?

There is an option under the ellipses icon in the Vault (see attached screenshot) to Sync Vault, but no explanation at all for what that does. I don't use the vault on any other devices so I don't know what it could be syncing. Can anyone explain? Thanks!

You are syncing the encrypted file on your device with the Norton cloud where it is stored and at some point later downloaded back to your device when you open NPM again.
