My norton 360 keeps getting turned off. Turn Access on.

I have to daily check that my Access in Norton 360 is turned on , on my Samsung Zfold 4. It randomly turns off. I have a feeling that this has to do with 'smart things'. For now I denied this app to change system settings to see what happens. Anyone out there has a solution? Norton support wasn't helpful and I can't comment on an earlier post. So started a new thread. Thanks.

What Android version is on your device?

Have you checked in Android Settings to see if you have any battery optimisations turned on for Norton 360? If so, turn them off and test again.

Also check in Android Settings > Accessibility and check installed services to ensure the Norton 360 service is turned on.

Re: My norton 360 keeps getting turned off. Turn Access on.

We have another thread going on this which I haven't posted in for a while.

However, it's still happening on both my Android 13 devices.

In the ~decade I've been using Android Norton, never before have I had to slide the 'ongoing notifications' off then on a couple of times a week to get the tick back in the top notification area.

Even after a device restart the tick, or its predecessor, used to auto appear after a few seconds and stay there.

Norton is still running in the background but the notification keeps disappearing.

Re: My norton 360 keeps getting turned off. Turn Access on.

-Zfold 4 softw Version 13 -Battery and device care has Auto Optimization which can't be turned off -The last thing you mentioned is what my post is about. I need to check every day if the access is turned off again and turn it back on again. Something is turning it regularly off.

Re: My norton 360 keeps getting turned off. Turn Access on.

Check in Android Settings > Apps. Find Norton 360 and look for the battery optimisations under the 360 app. That is where I find it in Android 9.

Re: My norton 360 keeps getting turned off. Turn Access on.

I found out today that the Samsung Speech To Text might be the cause. After an update of that app My norton was turned off.. so I tried a few times the following. Turned norton access on again and then opened tge samsung tts app this apparently turns off Norton. I haven't identified where in the processs yet..but for now I forced to stop that app. Nit sure what concequences it has..but we see. If you care to try if yours do the same thatvwoukd be great. Thanks

Re: My norton 360 keeps getting turned off. Turn Access on.

As you found it is a Samsung app that seems to have affected the Norton operation, I would suggesting contacting Samsung support to let them know what is happening.

You can also send logs to Norton so they might be able to work with Samsung to fix this.

Open the 360 app and tap the three bars at the top left. Tap on Settings > General, and scroll down to the Logging section. Turn on Enable Debug Log. Then continue using your device until your issue happens again. After the issue has happened, go back to the Debug Log settings and then tap on Send Error Report with log files. In your submission please include "forum 'your username' " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread. You can turn off logging when you have sent the logs.
