Did you have the VPN active when you contacted support? Or did you turn it on during the session? If so that would explain the dropped conversation. The chat function does not work well with VPNs.
If you have 360 on your device, you should uninstall the standalone Secure VPN app and just use the VPN feature in 360.
FYI. The message from 360 is saying that your network connection is Secure, and that is why the Automatic VPN activation is not needed. The Standalone Secure VPN message is just noting that your device is not being protected by the VPN. There is no difference in the condition of your device's security, just different messages being given.

Identity theft and hacking online accounts is on the rise. Norton 360 is not going to protect you from that. The best thing you can do is ensure that all online passwords are long and complex and different for each site. That way if one site is hacked, the password cannot be used on other sites.
Be aware of anything coming into your device and do not click on any links in emails or on web sites you do not trust.
