Norton Security ¦ NOT INCREMENTING NEW VERSIONS ?

Hi there.
Since post https://community.norton.com/en/forums/ns-2223121-32-bit; my NS on 3x machines has not been offered the latest version on 'LiveUpdate'. I'm currently running with NS 22.23.1.21 on Windows 10 Pro 64, Windows 10 Home 64. and Windows 10 32.
No Norton Security 22.23.3.8 or Norton Security 22.23.4.6
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Norton Security will not add features with the update to version 22.23.4.6 . Only features that are already a part of your current subscription will be updated along with the core product. I use Norton Security Ultra on most of my machines, they don't have the VPN, Software Updater, etc.

Looking at your older post, have you ran Windows Update to get to build 19045.2965 on Windows? There are service stacking and .NET updates which Norton may be looking for. 

Have you also removed your Norton installs on each machine separately, performing a "remove only", then manually removing ALL remnant folders related to Norton and a reboot? Then reinstall your product on each machine to get to the latest version 22.23.4.6?

  • To only remove your Norton device security product, click Advanced Options and then click Remove Only. Pay close attention to step # 5 in the Norton article.

Follow on screen prompts to restart your machine. When done manually remove ALL folders and directories related to Norton, restart once again. Afterwards log into your Norton account to reinstall your Norton product and run live updates to install all patches that are available. Make sure you reboot as each patch is installed whether prompted to do so or not. This will ensure the patches are installed separately and completely. Perform a final restart. RECHECK for the original issues.

Hi there.
Thanks for the 'heads-up', on localising the issue.
I've had a look at what's new in 22.23.3.8 & 22.23.4.6; I don't have or use any of the updates.
Would NS only download the build version, and just increment 'ABOUT' in the UI ? Akin to good housekeeping.
I'm going to let the issue run. I've the 'Green Tick'; supposedly, all is well ?
