Importing the exported csv file from nortons to kaspersky, or any other password manager

I cannot import the exported Norton cvs file to any other password manager. I'm trying to import in to Kaspersky password manager, but I'll be happy to successfully import in anywhere

Re: Importing the exported csv file from nortons to kaspersky, or any other password manager

Sorry about the format of the post. It wouldn't take line breaks so i used a series of periods

I do not consider this a solution and I am hoping for a reasonable one. But maybe this can help someone else. So far this is what I've had to do................................... I'm attempting to export Norton passwords to Kaspersky Password manager...or any other password manager......................................... I exported Norton Passwords to CSV file and I edited the CSV file in a spreadsheet editor...................................... I deleted all the columns EXCEPT User Name, Password, Site Name, Login URL............................... THEN I had to rearrange the columns like this......................................... Site Name, Login URL, User Name, Password...................................... THEN I imported the new CSV file in to Google passwords.................................... THEN I exported a new CVS file from Google passwords ..................................THEN I imported the Google exported CSV file into MS Edge...................................... THEN I imported the Edge bookmarks in to Kaspersky through the native browser import tool................................. It would never accept a CSV file exported from Nortons.................................. Nortons user a non standard format where the columns are different. It wasn't perfect and It missed some but I have 115 login\passwords and it got most of them............................................. I am done with Nortons. This is it. Too many issues. It's just not a good product anymore. I was going to ride out my subscription until December but I can't. The password manager was the final straw.

Is there a more practical way to do this?

Re: Importing the exported csv file from nortons to kaspersky, or any other password manager

Have you used this article, AND, tried importing an "unedited" CSV file?

https://support.kaspersky.com/KPM/Win8.6/en-US/130516.htm

Open the main application window.
In the menu panel, click Additional.
In the opened menu, click Settings.
The application settings open.

Select the Import/Export section.
In the Import from password managers section, click Import.
In the window that opens, specify the CSV file you want to import data from.
Kaspersky Password Manager supports the ability to import from CSV files exported from the latest version of the supported password managers.

Click Open.
Passwords will be copied from the selected file to your vault. When the import is completed, the application displays a report about the imported data. Kaspersky Password Manager supports importing logins and passwords from the latest versions of the following applications that were available when Kaspersky Password Manager was released: LastPass, KeePass, Dashlane, 1Password, and Norton Identity Safe 2014 (included in the latest version of Norton Security).

Re: Importing the exported csv file from nortons to kaspersky, or any other password manager

Yes, I've tried importing an unedited CSV file in to google, Edge, Kaspersky, and others. They all import one account and it's not even an account it's garbage. The only way to do it was the whole process I put in the OP This is a known issue, but I was hoping there might be a solution by now. I've gone through all the old threads I could find on this and couldn't find a solution. There must be another way. I cannot believe Norton's uses a non standard format for their password manager

Re: Importing the exported csv file from nortons to kaspersky, or any other password manager

From the article:

Kaspersky Password Manager cannot ensure the integrity and completeness of data imported from other password management applications.

That being said it IS a known issue with PWM and the extra tailoring of the CSV file to import. Not being a Norton employee nor having access to the development of their products I can't specify what the issue is caused by. Your best bet would be via Kaspersky support.
