Safe to delete RAR file with a trojan in it?

Hi I have a RAR folder with a Trojan.Nancrat in it pretending to be an innocent exe file, is it safe for me to just delete the rar? When I scan it with Norton it says no threats discovered, but if I try to execute the file Norton blocks it as a Trojan.Nancrat.

Hello Ricky123. Delete the file and or directory. Norton will continue to detect the malicious file if you try executing it. I would also run a full system scan to ensure your OS is not also infected.
