Received Error 80047e5e installing Norton Utilities Ultimate

I just received an Error 80047e5e installing Norton Utilities Ultimate. (Win 11 Pro).

This  a new purchase to direct on my Norton Account here - NOT a renewal. Any help suggestions please?

Hello smmi. The error 80047e5e indicates a file was not processed and/or is missing from the installation. Did you have a previous version of NU installed prior to installing NUU? If so remove i, reboot and reinstall NUU again.

No - there is not a previous install of NU or NUU - It's a new build/New Computer for a family member - with a fresh install of Win11 Pro / update patched current to ver. 22H2 - 22621.1848 

Norton support says (per my support ticket) that it's a server problem on their end with their file server's downloads - and to wait 24 hours until they 'fix' the issue. I've heard that before - Phone support's comment was quite different from your solution.

If it isn't rectified in 24hrs - tomorrow morning, I'll just cancel the order/subscription... I don't have time to mess around with this.

Received Error 80047e5e installing Norton Utilities Ultimate (Windows 10 Pro) today (2023-06-22).

The problem is still not solved by Norton!!!!

Should I cancel my order?

First. I would disable fast startup on the computer prior to reinstalling your product. Having this enabled can cause issues when installing software on Windows systems. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-1...

Thanks for the post back. We Gurus do not work for Norton. So unfortunately there is nothing we can directly do here on the forums. Norton doesn't give timelines for correction of "backend" issues, the services will just begin working as they should without any prior notices. My recommendations are to use the R&R tool and remove your product with it, reboot when its completed. Perform a removal only scenario. Use steps #5-7 as shown in the article below. Please let us know what your results are.
