Norton Failing

1) OK, so I like SMART SCAN, because I can't do a FULL SCAN every day.  Is thsi the best approach to find threats?

2) Norton sometimes is half way through a FULL SCNA and it just fails.  The open threads disappear.  And sometimes I can't even click on the Windows  taskbar to restart it.  I have to reboot.

3)
a) Most annoying is RUN SMART SCAN on the 360 screen ahs never kicked off a SMART SCAN.
b) Also from the 360 screen, I can click on SCANS to open that dialogue box, and find the SMART SCAN, but sometimes it doesn't even run after I've selected RUN. 
c) And other times it brings up another screen labeled LIVE NORTON SIGN with RUN SMART SCAN on the left in a yellow box (other apps listed on the right, and when I click RUN SMART SCAN, nothing happens.
4) And all these clicks can result if Norton just disappearing and stop running.  Sometimes I can't even restart it.

Please help.  Past comments have stated to reinstall.  Should I really have to reinstall your product every month?

Hello. What OS are you using? And, have you ran live update with Norton to have the latest patches and version?

a full scan in my opinion should be done weekly atleast in my opinion unless a big issue arises

as for the issue you are having i would try the auto fix tool

in classic mode click help top tight, on the left of box click get support and let that run, will likely find a installation issue perhaps something else, will prompt you to restart

as for reinstalls that is a last ditch fix and often abused when not needed

after you do restart i would click on live update and make sure your all good thyere , perhaps a patch or build release not installed? just a guess

Thank you for the response.

Clicking on "Get Support" yields nothing.  I got a spin for 2 seconds, but that was 12 minutes ago.  This is part of the problem I'm seeing when kicking things off...
