Re: Declined card during subscription

In your actual account, under payment details, are your Credit Card details up to date, I keep mine current but once payment has been been taken turn off auto renew, Norton turns this on automatically so perhaps in this case, would it be saying details don't match?

This way can change which card payment made against subscription according to balances on each.

What is the message that you are getting? Do you have your AR turned off? Is there another N360 subscription active on your account?

Re: Declined card during subscription

Hi Nathan & mgirons Thanks for your help I haven’t got another N360 subscription or another card on my account It won’t let me activate my subscription because it declines my card at the set up stage The message I get is “ card declined try another card or set up direct debit “ As this is the only card that I have, and it works on every other purchase, retail or online. Also, the bank that my card is with sends me notification if it fails for any reason, and it didn’t do this when trying to set up the auto renewal Thanks again for your help Just tried again and the error message says “ please select another payment or country “ Cheers

Re: Declined card during subscription

Does this let you select another country?

Re: Declined card during subscription

Could be the 2 step verification on your credit card, lots of problems with that in Europe. Are you in an European country?

Re: Declined card during subscription

Hi,

You can use Direct Debit for your renewal, with your IBAN and BIC code. (IBAN is on your bank card and you can find the BIC code of your bank by googling your bank name and BIC_

Credit Cards don't always work in Europe because of the 2 step verification from your bank.

Good luck!

Re: Declined card during subscription

I am in the UK and I switched from Barclays to Paypal to update my subscription.

But seriously Nortons....why make it so difficult? You are an international organisation. It really doesn't inspire trust if you cannot make subscription renewal easier.

Re: Declined card during subscription

Renewed my subscription couple of months ago with a B/card, that went thru' ok but I don't have cards stored in NPWM. Funny Norton picks up a problem at such an early stage. On line payments now with B/card, enter your details, pressing pay now button takes to  Barclays verification page, they send you a text of 4 or 6 digit verification code, type that in & Barclays certifies payment to Norton. But why is Norton rejecting at the first stage, they can't check if your card is valid, card details are in your Norton account but not the fine detail such as 3 digit security code. Only Barclays can check no funds etc. this is where Barclays verification actually certifies payment. Nothing silly like history or cookies blanking you out?. I have had one or two issues with various web pages the past few months, rather than completely delete all history/cookies, I selectively delete those for that company, in your case Norton.
