Norton Safe Web Toolbar suggestion

I have a suggestion to include in  the next upgrade of NIS

In the Norton toolbar for the safe web where there is a green check mark and/or shopping cart or red X, etc.

I think Norton should add the community rating number also.

I have typed in numerous sites into the safe web website and it shows up green, but overwhelming community feedback would say a particular site is bad.

I think it would be a little added security  feature to help  make a decision on whether to click on anything deeper into the website or leave it. Not just relying on the green checkmark, or having to go to the safe web website everytime to see the community feedback.

That's an interesting idea. Would you like to see the number on the results page right next to the green/red icon? Can you give me an example of a green site with really bad community feedback? I'd like to see why this is happening in the first place. Perhaps a better idea would be to influence the color of the icon when the community rating is very strong.

I'd like to see the community rating reflected in the Norton Toolbar, whether it be seperately (my preference) or in the overall rating.

The biggest problem with tools like SafeWeb is that a website can get infected at any time. When SafeWeb scanned an infected website it may not have been infected at the time of the scan. I don't know how often SafeWeb scans every website in its database but I would imagine it could be less than once a year for some websites.

It would also be good for bad shopping experiences. For example http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?name=discounttoneronline.com

I think the community rating number next to the green/red icon would be a good idea. Even better, would be the rating number and number of reviews.

Example    1.3/25       or      1.3 out of 25                                                   

Those 2 numbers wouldn't take up much space but would really tell alot about the site review.

Perhaps a change in the icon color would be a better idea because it would catch your eye as soon as the web page came up. Instead of always having to look up at the rating number in the toolbar.
