Password Manager does not work with Chrome (5/16/2022)

Google chrome and Norton password manager are not playing nice together.  The issue looks occurs when I try to open a Chrome session and open my vault.  The tab opens for a second and closes before I can enter my info.  For a 3rd time this year, I have had to seek a solution to this recurring problem.  I don't leave a chrome window running all the time, and the problem is observed after an initial session with chrome.

A solution that works 1X, is to uninstall and re-install the password manager.  This method works long enough to get access to the password manager during that session, i.e. to validate the solution and say, yes it works for me.  However, 2nd or 3rd time I open chrome, wanting to re-open my password manager, the window to confirm credentials opens and closes immediately with no data entry. Help me understand what might be invalid so that I don't have to reinstall each session that I want to use my vault. 

I have additionally tried to open all security settings on this chrome, no joy.  Does this issue have a root cause in the auto-lock vault feature?

IDK what's happening your side.

Norton Password Manager vault closes when you close browser. 
Norton Password Manager Sign In survives browser cycle. 

Norton Password Manager v7.5.2.62 okay, my side.
W10 Home (19044.1645)
Chrome v101.0.4951.67

Note: I turn off Chrome settings. 
Chrome Sync and Google Services = off. 
chrome://settings/system = off
chrome://settings/autofill = off
chrome://settings/accessibility = off

I do not run Norton Secure VPN.
I allow all Norton pages content (ads, cookies, trackers, etc., etc.,)

Maybe, create new default Chrome profile and only add Norton Password Manager extension...as test.

Norton is on this PC.   Especially, Norton VPN!  So if I open Norton, disable its VPN and then try to open the PM, eureka!

Why are these two Norton products arguing with each other?

Maybe, Norton uses your usual/real location to verify your vault access. (VPN Off)
Maybe, Norton is trying to protect access to your vault from an alternate location/country. (VPN On) 

Maybe, Norton wants to gather user data regarding Norton Password Manager usage.

Password Manager extension often does not work in both Chrome and Edge Browsers. Has been like this, working, not working, working, not working ad nausium. happening for a couple of months. About time Norton fixed this permanently if not i will not re-subscribe to any norton product and find something else that works properly.

I have been having nothing but problems with Norton Password. Went from Chrome to Edge, removed norton and reloaded. Bought other products to speed up. It does not work always an issue. I am not going to renew my Norton. For the price they should give you these add ons. Never know if the password vault is going to work, 8 months like this. I see alot of crashing going on. Its a shame.
