Norton360 Thinks Sophos is installed, but it's not!

Hello all,

I'm unable to install Norton 360 on my main Windows 10 laptop. N360Downloader believes that "Sophos Exploit Prevention" is installed but it is not. It has an option to have it uninstall Sophos, but it fails because it can not find C:\Progamfiles(x86)\HitmanProAlert\Uninstall.exe.

I did have Sophos installed at one time in the past, but it was removed long ago. I've also tried other security solutions since I used Sophos. I've check "Add\Remove Programs", Program Files directories, browser extensions, and searched the registry. Sophos can not be found. Where is the installer getting this path from, and how can I proceed.

Please help me get this installed.

Mike

Hello Mike. Give Revo Uninstaller a shot. Sophos abandoned the silent uninstall issue with Hitman Pro ages ago. There isn't a solution as far as an uninstaller at this point. Revo may find the remnants and remove those for you. Let us know what your results are.
