Norton will not display on screen after latest patch

Again, after the latest patch, Norton will load on Widows startup but will not display on screen.

Process Explorer lists Norton Security as running, so it is starting.

But no display on screen.

Clicking on 'OPEN' in the menu or selecting 'run' on the highlighted EXE file does nothing, as would be expected, since it's already running.

This same problem has occurred after the last several patches, but I was able to get the screen display  back after one or two system restarts.

This time, after 3 restarts, there is still no screen display.

I'm d***** ticked that this recurring problem still hasn't been fixed. It's at least several months old, and has been reported here.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?

And BTW, 'Automatic Updates', although turned on, haven't worked for a long time, so I can't wait for an update for a solution.

Suddenly, while doing something else, Norton popped open on the screen.

This was at least 30 minutes after I'd clicked on the logo on the task bar.

We'll see if the problem happens again.
