changing from a trial version of 360 to another licence

It appeards that I have been using the trial version of 360 that came with my laptop. The trial has run out, how do I add this laptop to my 10 device license? Do I have to remove 360 and then redownload and install it? I have already downloaded and installed Norton Utilities Ultimate which uses my license number. I don't think Utilities Ultimate replaces 360 though.

Hello. Just follow this article and insert your current 10 device product key.

Thanks, but that doesn't answer the question, does Utilities Ultimate replace 360? the 360 icon on my desktop leads to a message that my subscription has expired. The Utilities Ultimate icon seems to work fine. I just want to know if one has replaced the other?

Norton Utilities DOES NOT replace Norton in any manner. It's a separate product with its own subscription.

Re: changing from a trial version of 360 to another licence

That is what I thought.

My Norton account doesn't seem recognise the key to my licences. If I try to redownload 360 it seems to only offer me Utilities Ultimate which has the same key as 360 has. Should I remove Norton completely and start fresh?

Now I find that my other laptop is getting a message saying that the key is incorrect. It was fine 2 days ago, nothing went wrong until I bought Utilities Ultimate.

Re: changing from a trial version of 360 to another licence

Someone may correct me if they know otherwise, Norton Utilities Ultimate and its product activation key shouldn't be the same as your Norton 360 because, as I explained before they are separate subscriptions. Each with its own unique product activation key. Norton Utilities Premium and its product key will not activate Norton 360, NU is also no longer offered as a separate download from within your account with auto-renew enabled as was Utilities Premium. Check your Norton account and subscriptions for the correct product key code and use it to enable Norton 360.

Re: changing from a trial version of 360 to another licence

My NUU product key is not the same as the key for 360. There was the free bonus for Norton Utilities Premium that was given for using auto renewal on the 360 Subscription. But that offer is no longer available.

From your Norton Account, click on the user icon at the top right and then click on Manage My Subscriptions. Find your current 360 subscription and you can find your product key there. Copy and paste that key into your installed trial using the information in the link in SoulAsylum's first post above.

If you are still having difficulty and want to reinstall, follow the path the your current subscription and you should see a download link there. Click on that and start the installation. That should install a pre activated copy of your product.
