Dark Web Monitoring

Hallo zusammen,

Ich habe mir heute das Norton 360 Premium gekauft und auf dem PC habe ich keine Probleme. Auf unseren Smartphones Xiaomi Redmi 9 und Redmi 10 (Alle Android 12) lässt sich aber die Dark Web Monitoring nicht aktivieren. Ich soll mich einloggen, was ich auch immer getan habe, aber egal was ich mache, es wird auf den Smartphones nicht aktiviert. Es kommt immer die Meldung das ein Netzwerkfehler aufgetreten ist. Mit der alten Norton 360 Deluxe Lizenz hatte ich keine Probleme mit dem Dark Web Monitoring.

Es wäre klasse, wenn mir jemand bei dem Problem helfen könnte.

I bought the Norton 360 Premium today and I have no problems on the PC. However, Dark Web Monitoring cannot be activated on our Xiaomi Redmi 9 and Redmi 10 smartphones (all Android 12). I'm supposed to log in, whatever I did, but no matter what I do, it won't activate on the phones. I always get the message that a network error has occurred. With the old Norton 360 Deluxe license I had no problems with dark web monitoring.

It would be great if someone could help me with this problem.

From looking at your images, and from a loose translation of your images, it appears that the Dark Web feature is "aktiv" (active). So the problem is not activating the feature, but accessing it. 

One thing to check is that you do not have any VPN product enabled. Even the 360 VPN feature can interfere with some Norton pages.

vielen Dank für die schnelle Antwort. Kann es sein, dass es an der 360 Premium Lizenz liegt?

Ich habe zum testen nochmal die alte 360 Deluxe Lizenz aktiviert und damit kann sofort auf das Dark Web Monitoring zugegriffen werden. Ich habe gerade auch gesehen, dass auf Norton.com die Premium Lizenz durch die Advanced ersetzt wurde.

Am Smartphone kann es ja generell nicht liegen, da es mit der Deluxe Version funktioniert und mit der Premium nicht.

To test it, I activated the old 360 Deluxe license again and it gives you immediate access to Dark Web Monitoring. I just saw that Norton.com has replaced the Premium license with the Advanced one.

In general, it can't be the smartphone, since it works with the deluxe version and not with the premium.

Try uninstalling 360 and reinstalling using the Premium license again. The download you get for the mobile apps is the same regardless of what subscription version you have. It may have just been a temporary server issue that you were not able to connect.

Das habe ich schon zweimal versucht, aber mit der Premium Lizenz ist es mir nicht möglich eine Verbindung herzustellen. Immer wieder kommt die Meldung, dass ein Netzwerkfehler aufgetreten ist. Ich habe es insgesamt dreimal neu installiert und immer das selbe Problem. Außer dem Norton VPN, welches deaktiviert ist, ist auch nicht in der Art installiert, was das blockieren könnte. Ich werde es später bei meinem Sohn testen, der ein Samsung Smartphone hat.

I've tried that twice, but I'm unable to connect with the premium license. I keep getting the message that a network error has occurred. I've reinstalled it a total of three times and always the same problem. Other than the Norton VPN, which is disabled, is also not installed in any way that could block it. I will test it later on my son who has a Samsung smartphone.

If it works correctly on your son's phone, it sounds like time to send logs to Norton to diagnose what is happening. 

Open the 360 app and tap the three bars at the top left. Tap on Settings > General, and scroll down to the Logging section. Turn on Enable Debug Log. Then continue using your device until your issue happens again. After the issue has happened, go back to the Debug Log settings and then tap on Send Error Report with log files. In your submission please include "forum 'your username' " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread. You can turn off logging when you have sent the logs.

If you do send logs, please let me know and I'll notify my contacts to look for them.

Ich habe es gerade auf dem Samsung S9 von meinem Sohn installiert und auch da funktioniert die Verbindung nicht. Er hatte vorher auch die 360 Deluxe mit der alles ohne Probleme funktionierte.

Jetzt bekomme ich als keinen Netzwerkfehler mehr angezeigt, sondern jetzt wird ein Server Problem angezeigt. Ich finde es nur seltsam, dass es mit der Deluxe Lizenz funktioniert und die Fehler nur bei der Premium Lizenz auftreten. Es kann dann doch nur an der Lizenz Version liegen.

Besteht die Möglichkeit die Dark Web Funktion komplett zu deaktivieren?

You cannot disable the Dark Web feature. But it does nothing unless you tap on it. All the information is stored in the cloud.

Ich habe immer noch keine Antwort vom Support erhalten. Allerdings erledigt sich das Problem scheinbar von alleine. Auf zwei von vier Smartphones läuft es mittlerweile ohne das ich was machen musste.

I still haven't received a response from support. However, the problem seems to go away on its own. It now runs on two out of four smartphones without me having to do anything.

Unfortunately, we do not usually receive a response from a thread that is escalated. That is generally because the escalation is sent to the developers and they never respond to customers directly. If you are seeing some improvement, it could indicate that they are working on the issue. 

Leider erhalten wir in der Regel keine Antwort auf einen eskalierten Thread. Das liegt im Allgemeinen daran, dass die Eskalation an die Entwickler gesendet wird und diese niemals direkt auf Kunden reagieren.
