Folders still opening in "Quick Access" even though "This PC" option is checked.

My desktop folders are opening in "Quick Access" even though "This PC" view option is checked. I want to be able to see all folders and sub-folders when I open a folder shown on my desktop and not have to search for them. Is there another view option I need to change? I never noticed this before. My desktop shortcuts open correctly.

I found my problem. Apparently somewhere in my navigation of the view folder options, I unchecked "Show all folders". I rechecked it and my folders open in the folder selected and not under "Quick Access". Sorry for the confusion, but thank you for the help.

Hello. What is your OS? For Windows 10/11. Open File Explorer, look at the far left of the upper task bar, select view. Choose your settings there.

Edition:      Windows 10 Pro

Version:     22H2

OS build:   19045.2846

My view is already set to "This PC".

I created a new folder on my desktop named "Test Folder" and added a file to it. See the attached PDF to see how the folder shows when opened. It still opens in "Quick Access".

Thanks for the post back. Most of us here on the forums will not open a pdf file due to the security risks it can present. Please post a screenshot into your posts. How to post screenshots: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/how-post-image-forums-0

UNCHECK the small boxes in the privacy section. Also clear your file explorer history.
