Help offline

I have Norton security with backup, and I would like to use it on my other computer. However my other computer has got hit by malware so bad that some unknown firewall is blocking all my ways a using the internet. Is there a way to get it offline with my same account?

Re: Help offline

I'm sure you can download Norton for use on another computer but you can also download & burn a bootable DVD for PCs which are too infected to work.

Re: Help offline

hi Caleb

I think it would be a good idea to try to clear the virus before trying to install any AV, in any case many virus's prevent an AV program from being installed.

I would suggest a visit to one of the sites listed in the thread linked below:

Norton Power Eraser EULA here.

Legally, okay as you're not gonna' sublicense, rent or lease any portion of the Software and Services.  But, please be aware.

Because Norton Power Eraser uses aggressive methods to detect threats, there is a risk that it can select some legitimate programs for removal. If you accidentally remove a legitimate program, you can run Norton Power Eraser to review past repair sessions and undo them.

For more information about using Norton Power Eraser, click here for a tutorial.

Hello

In his first post, he says he can't get his infected computer to the internet. The user may not realize he can ask this question at one of the malware sites and be told how to clean a computer which can't get to the net.

Thanks.
