I couldn't get any Adobe software to wok because of a virus (said Norton). I finally deleted all Adobe and still have a virus. Can I manually run a Norton scan so I can then quickly download the Adobe I need to open PDF files? I have Windows 10. I am 84 years old and understand very basic computerize.

If it is a recurring malware, I would suggest you sign up at one of the free Malware Removal sites below. Do not try to do anything on your own as it could make things harder for the Malware Removal expert at that site to help you. Choose one and stay there until your system is clean.

I tried PhoneMan's suggestion and tried to get bleepingcomputer.com to open. What happens is, after I allow Norton to let it go through, the PhoneMan's message is repeated. I never see bleepingcomputer.com even though I have clicked "run."
I'm trained to Adobe, I am 84 years old and so arthritic I can barely type. Learning Edge by Microsoft is not the joy that learning new skills was when I was in my 50s. Sorry youngsters, just shifting to Windows 10 is a challenge for us octogenarians. Some of my friends will give up when Windows 7 is no longer available. Worse, I talked three friends into downloading Windows 10, and it didn't download correctly (my experience also) and fouled up a great many of their programs, especially e-mail programs. None of then have asked Microsoft for help, even though I gave them the phone number, because they don't have the stamina to sit at the computer for several hours while Microsoft technicians have them try option, after option. Two friends went back to Windows 7. The other is just fumbling and going without email because Windows 10 erased or blocked her contact list. Thanks kids, I'll try all the sites PhoneMan recommends and see if any will work. Karen Carpenter

Is this the message you see from Norton? If so, that is just a notification from this forum to let you know the site you are being taken to is not within the forums. You should only have to click OK and your browser should open the bleepingcomputer web site.

Adobe ISN"T the only PDF file reader
I found another one referred to by the Wikipedia article on PDF files. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foxit_Reader
My BIG bank would let me download PDF statements. Adobe Reader would leave blank AREAS. Foxit Reader displayed them completely.

It took less time to download than, try fail, try fail with Adobe updates. The learning curve is tiny, Just remember F9 to show the controls & tabs.
