Core firmware updated to version 190227_278

Overnight Core updated its firmware to version 278. Thus far, I have only noticed one significant change (no release notes are available). IP address reservation now allows user settings for the 3rd AND 4th octet sets. You can also now set and will get a notification your DNS settings are not DNSSEC by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen under "Security". I haven't taken note of that previously. Noted bugs - under Bandwidth Settings>Devices vice people>devices previously on the network still appear although manually removed from the app. Under "People>Shared" the same issue occurs where previously on network device names still appear although removed. Still looking for other things to note as the day progresses.

Cheers

Re: Core firmware updated to version 190227_278

Update: It appears that a rather nasty vulnerability was also patched with version 278 firmware release. Since the update Core has been representing IP addresses in the 192.168.x.x range as being malicious botnets, the beginning date being March 19th per my Android app notifications feed. This morning I rebooted Core and have not seen further indications of what I believe to be false detections. My ISP router logs don't show anything which would validate the Core alerts.

Cheers

Core issues have been carried over into floplot's thread here. From her thread there appears to be a BETA fix in the works.

V282 is approved for release.  If you reboot your router you should get it otherwise,  it will be applied tonight.

Release notes will be posted by the admins later.

Have a good Weekend

Re: Core firmware updated to version 190227_278

Update: Firmware version 282 did not correct any of the previously noted issues.

Noted bugs - under Bandwidth Settings>Devices vice people>devices previously on the network still appear although manually removed from the app. Under "People>Shared" the same issue occurs where previously on network device names still appear although removed.
