Protection from REDUCTOR question

I have read recently about the Kaspersky report documenting the (possibly) Russian hacking group Turla creating a successor to the older CompFun malware, that is very sophisticated. It can inject itself into the in-memory process dealing with the PRNG part of the TLS process, and read users activities, in the Firefox or Chrome browsers.

See:

Is Norton Security able to protect against this? I saw a Microsoft article suggesting that Defender was able to mitigate against this, but I am running Norton Security, so this de-activates Defender.
