Return of Virus case # 42128304

I have a virus on Windows 10  I have Norton 360.. 2  days ago the Norton  techs removed Norton and the installer and then reinstalled.  I uninstalled the program that I was having a problem with. I don't think it was completely gone yet as I had to delete it from the desktop shortcuts. I went to bed. without checking into anything else So yesterday I got on and the virus was full-blown. again.  I went to Norton and got the power eraser and ran it. It is stuck on this message, So when this first happened:

I could not get to Google my usual search engine. Microsoft seems to be the only browser it will work with. I can't get to google or Norton support through any icon. I get to it when I am on the bing search engine and I can sign in but I cannot get to support, no matter what. I am on my laptop. I am also not able to chat with them again because they are not working today.

KarenER,

Could you provide more information about which program you were having problems with and what type of problems you're having?  I'd also recommend holding off on running NPE unless requested by Norton Support or one of the Guru's on this site.

In the interim, see if you can download Malwarebytes from this link and install it.  If you need help installing and setting up Malwarebyte's, please reference this link and follow steps 4 through 11 ONLY! on that page.

If for some reason it wont let you install malwarebytes, you can post up in their forums for help on removing a threat at this link or at BleepingComputer forums at this link

They have the specialized expertise and tools to help you remove malware from your system at no cost.  Please note, due to the volume of requests they receive, it may take several days before you hear from someone on those sites, so please be patient.
