VMware Fusion NAT sharing issue on guest machine when VPN is turned on

So I have noticed when Norton Secure VPN is turned on and if I launch Fusion to run Ubuntu then internet connection won't work at all in the guest machine. I have to turn off VPN to make it work. But if I use NordVPN then it works. I have configured the VM to use NAT for networking. Also it doesn't support torrents and is far from even a mediocre product. Despite having Norton 360 subscription for so many years, I had to buy NordVPN subscription because it's just a basic VPN!!
