Crypto Option Gone

Hi All, Just did an update on Norton 360 to 22.21.6.51 and Crypto has gone with no apparent way of getting it back. Still a member of EAP, but no Crypto option. Mining with an RTX 3090 so removal of support for AMD is not the issue. Thanks.

Re: Crypto Option Gone

Have you restarted since doing the update, and gotten all the updates available?

Hi SA,

Yes, I have restarted several times and I'm fully up to date. It was after an update that Cyrpto stopped displaying.

Re: Crypto Option Gone

Do you have an AMD graphics card? If so we have temporarily stopped supporting it as we have found issues which we are trying to resolve. We don't have a time frame yet of when it may be turned back on.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your note. I have a RTX 3090, so that's not the issue.

Hi,

My log file is 228MB (<300MB) but still will not upload as the 100MB limit seems to still apply even though a 300MB limit is mentioned in the log Files option:

Moderators have enabled log file uploads for this thread. Upload one or more compressed log files using this field, and they will be shared with the Moderators only. Files must be less than 300 MB.

Re: Crypto Option Gone

I have the same issue, using a fully updated RTX2080 and the same version of Norton (I had the issue with the previous version as well. The option never showed up even though I'm in the EAP).

Which logs do need, I can extract the full history, but I'm not sure it's helpful as it's mostly messages like "this app tried to access your webcam"

KrallNyx, one of the admins may send you a private message here on the forums with a link to a tool to run, with instructions. Check for that. The logs it creates will be what is sent to the team to review.

Re: Crypto Option Gone

Yep, disappeared for me too awhile ago...  Guess this was just a money grab for norton. Can't mine, can't access my already mined wallet...

Hopefully there is an update soon and that it includes back AMD gpus aswell.

Re: Crypto Option Gone

@BabyFarqs, I can assure you this was not a money grab. If the option disappeared it could be for several reasons, AMD GPU, moving from EAP to real or the graphics card you have is no longer able to mine. The GPU list is updated regularly.

As for access to your wallet, it's still your wallet and still has your money in it.
You can access it directly from your my norton portal -> https://my.norton.com/extspa/crypto

The team is working on a way to get to this from the main dashboard on the portal. We had not accounted for someone who had mining running and then it went away.

As for AMD, the team is hard at work trying to resolve all issues with the AMD GPU cards and our mining solution.
