Strange Ad On My Norton Menu

I went to do my back up today and noticed this troubling ad on my Norton menu. There is a green bar on the top right that say's "Turn your PC's idle time into cash." I have never seen it before and I have not clicked on it. I'm worried that my Norton account has been compromised. Has anyone else seen anything similar?

It is a new feature of Norton that allows for mining of cryptocurrency.

It is not malware and you can ignore if you have no interest in mining. If you wish to explore you should read and understand what Norton Crypto is all about.

That is such a relief! I'm disappointed that Norton would go this route. It's kind of daunting to see.

There is a great deal of discussion about Norton creating this feature. I assume it is for profit as Norton has a 15% fee of the amount of crypto earned.
