Norton 360 adverts from Norton

Norton 360 is constantly popping up their own adverts pestering me to purchase even more Norton products (I already subscribe to 360 Deluxe).

No, thank you.  I do not need and do not want additional Norton products. What I need to stop seeing these pop-up adverts from the company (Norton) whose products became even more popular than they already were a number of years ago by stopping pop-up ads in browsers.

Now Norton is persistently generating their own pop-up adverts directly from the Windows taskbar.

No - the Special Notifications option is already OFF, so that's not a solution.
No - I really do not want Silent Mode on either (I actually want to know about real threats, in real-time).

It seems like this type of activity started not long after Norton merged with LifeLock.  It's the marketing department run amuck.

If this continues to happen I'm going to discontinue my subscription when it expires in a couple of months. I've been using Norton products nearly since their beginning, so this makes me sad. But I've had enough and will switch to McAfee if I have to in order to be rid of my antivirus/antispam software spamming my Windows desktop.

Hello TRevis. Unfortunately, there isn't anything other than what you are already doing with settings to prevent the "baked-in marketing" alerts, pop-up's and notifications we are all seeing. Marketing product spamming has been brought to the attention of the Norton teams often, unless, someone with the authority at Norton to stop or at least put the brakes on it, it will continue.

Re: Norton 360 adverts from Norton

Well that's disappointing to say the least. I've seen a LOT of complaints about this, both in the Norton forums and from outside sources. Honestly I believe the loss of income from people cancelling or simply not renewing their service because of these ridiculous pop-ups will be far greater than the income gained by current customers adding these advertised services to their subscriptions.
