Xiaomi "Ultra Battery saver" disables Norton Family

Hello

I have just discovered that Norton Family on Xiaomi phones can be very easy disabled by child. On my son Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S (MIUI 12) there is "Ultra battery saver" in shortcut buttons on top. If Norton Family is activated/running and even if the phone is blocked by time limit, simply activating "Ultra battery saver" and then disactivating it, parental control is no longer running and the app is useless. You have to restart the app and then reenable accessibility to make the app functional again. I tried every possible way to block this (including blocking access to settings, excluding NF from Power Saver), but unfortunately no success. Could you advise please?

Hi,

Norton Family does not block access to the menu, however, if the device allows, you can try removing the Ultra battery saver icon from the menu by editing the list of items shown in the menu.

Generally, the option to edit is provided at the end of the menu items. You can see if it allows you to remove the Ultra battery saver menu item from the list.

Hi,

Xiaomi phones do not run stock Android OS and have some custom optimizations that block Norton Family app from monitoring the device continuously.

You can try enabling AutoStart for Norton Family from its app settings. You can also enable Display Pop-up window permission and enable "No Restrictions" in the Background settings of the app.

Hi,

I've already done it. But my son can access Ultra battery saver (as per print screen attached) from navigation bar. Once he opened it, NF process is killed.

I've tried to find compatibility list for Norton Family and only this what I found is below:

So it looks Xiaomi device is supported. Could you advise then how to fix this problem please?

Hi,

Ultra battery saver option kills all background apps (including Norton Family) and does not give us any option to disable this behavior. Currently we do not have any workaround other than disabling Ultra battery saver to handle this

Hi,

Well, this is my problem. I want to completely disable Ultra battery saver, but it looks there is no way to do it. I mean I disabled it in setting, I blocked access to settings, but my son can easily enable it entering menu which I sent to you, even the phone is locked by NF. Is any way to block access to this menu?
