Norton billed me for a subscription, I didn't want. I have purchased a prescription at a store.

Norton billed my account long before the expiry of my present subscription. I want to know who to contact to have this billing cancelled/refunded.

Re: Norton billed me for a subscription, I didn't want. I have purchased a prescription at a store.

Norton subscriptions are recurring term subscriptions.  Norton subscription requires user account and user payment method for recurring subscription service.  Virus Protection Promise requires user activate automatic renewal

Norton subscription purchase includes Automatic Renewal Service. At the end of Your Service Period, the Service will be renewed and Your payment method will be charged the then-current renewal price (plus applicable taxes) automatically, without any additional action by You. At any time after Your purchase, You may change Your subscription settings, including cancelling Your automatic renewal, at my.norton.com.

Note for Norton 360 with LifeLock or (legacy/standalone) LifeLock members*:
First, if you do not renew your subscription, immediately upon cancellation you will no longer be eligible for restoration and protection under LifeLock's Million Dollar Protection Package because you will not have a current membership with LifeLock. If a Stolen Identity Event should occur after cancellation you would not have any of the aforementioned benefits. Further, any ongoing restoration efforts that LifeLock may be engaged in currently on your behalf would cease. Second, you would cease to receive alerts, which could provide you notice of a potential Stolen Identity Event. Finally, if you choose to enroll in Norton services in the future, upon re-enrollment you will have to re-enter all of your information for monitoring and provide new consents.

Re: Norton billed me for a subscription, I didn't want. I have purchased a prescription at a store.

Hi all, had the same problem as brownie1945, my subscription was due renewal  03/April/2022. Had an email from Norton on 12/February/2022 Action Required to renew subscription as we don't have the correct billing information and in much smaller print further down that an automatic payment would be taken on 27/ February/ 2022. Anyway I didn't spot the small print and thought it was spam mail, till  27/February/2022 another email said my subscription had been renewed. The only way I found to cancel this renewal and ask for a refund was to phone customer support but did find a UK freephone number 080033160041 to do it. The agent was very pleasant and offered a 50% reduction to keep me but 3rd party stores can half that again in the UK. I was also informed I may have to set up a new account by doing this way but I have had no problems in the past. Hope this information helps others.
