Mobile unlock no longer available with Firefox?

I'm using Firefox v98.0.2 on Windows 10 with Norton Identity Safe (NIS) v5.3.4.3. In the settings under "Vault Access," NIS used to have the option "Mobile Unlock settings" that was used to set up mobile unlock. This option appears to be no longer available. Has mobile unlock been discontinued or is there now a different way to set up mobile unlock? Thanks

Re: Mobile unlock no longer available with Firefox?

Sorry for the issue you are facing.

Can you please follow the below steps to get the latest version of our Password Manager extension and see whether this issue is getting resolved.

1. Launch Firefox

2. Click on "Tools" menu at the top of the browser

3. Click on "Add-On and Themes"

4. Click "Extensions"

5. Click on "Settings" Icon

6. Click "Check for updates" under the same

Now you should have the Norton Password Manager extension version - 7.5.0.45 which should support Mobile Unlock.

Re: Mobile unlock no longer available with Firefox?

I also am unable to use mobile unlock on Firefox 98.0.2. I have tried on both  Windows 10 and  Windows 11 computers.  Identity Safe does not give the option yet it shows up on Google Chrome.

Re: Mobile unlock no longer available with Firefox?

As an addition to this issue, the Firefox Add-on Store is force installing the Web Safe Add-on, and not the Password Manager.

The current version of the Password Manager version is 7.5.0.13, and the version that is being forced installed is 5.3.4.3, which is a version from 2018.

It seems to be currently impossible for Firefox users to reinstall or fresh install the Password Manager fully. I noticed this when setting up a new Windows 11 computer, and trying to put it at parity with my Windows 10 computer.

Re: Mobile unlock no longer available with Firefox?

@viveksu, thanks for your response. When I was initially having the problem, I uninstalled/reinstalled NIS and only v5.3.4.3 would install and there were no updates when I clicked "Check for updates." After your response today, when I started up Firefox, NIS automatically updated to the version you listed (7.5.0.45) and Norton Password Manager seems to be working through the "Manage Devices" option in the NIS settings. Looks like Norton got this working, thanks much for your help.
