Password Manager Vault is not accessible. I can unlock the vault, and see the websites. But I cannot click on the vault at bottom left and go into the edit feature. Using Google Chrome on a laptop with Windows 10

When I click on the word Vault in the lower left corner of the Password Manager, it does nothing.  I used to click on that and it took me to the another screen where I could edit URL's and passwords for my websites.  Now, it just causes the screen to blink and then nothing.  I can see my websites, but I need to edit a couple of URLs in order to have the manager open some websites that have changed their URLs.  Google on Windows 10.

Be sure you are not using a VPN when trying to access your vault.

Ad Blocker extensions can also trip up the Norton Vault.

How do you mean lower left corner? Do you have the extension installed on your browser?

I have the same problem as Dianna 14.  I have the Password Manager extension pinned to Chrome and using it I can open the Vault, see my usernames and passwords and autofill both.  However, selecting anything that should open the Vault's webpage, e.g., the edit the pencil, the word "Vault" in the lower left or the Password Generator flashes a webpage that immediately closes.  I've been using the Password Manager in Chrome for years without a hitch; this is a relatively new issue that I can't solve.

I have experienced the same problem with MS Edge on Windows 11 for the past few weeks.  I have tried reinstalling the browser extension (I was successful immediately after reinstallation, but that was a 'one-off') and also tried turning the VPN off.

PWM Version 7.5.1.48 On Opera GX with Chrome extensions, same version on Edge Chromium, Windows 10 Pro x 64 / 21H2 works great my side. Haven't tested my Windows 11 machine.

FWIW!!! On ALL my Windows 10 machines AND my Windows 11 machine, PWM will show the "open vault" dialog. Once clicking that radio button, I get the error shown below on Opera GX and MS Edge browsers respectively across ALL my devices. Clearing cookies/caches DOES NOT correct the issue, nor does a system restart. Below is Opera in dark mode.

There is a back-end issue I believe. Logging into my Norton account also creates the same error notification. I got into the account earlier, maybe a one off, it now doesn't login again. PWM is still worthless to log into the vault. Same error and message. Hoping the issues are resolved ASAP!!

Southern92. Restart your browser and re-try PWM. Myself and others are seeing the PWM service is working again. I'm still monitoring for a bit to ensure the issues don't reappear.

I can also confirm that my vault is now functioning normally.

I selected Settings when clicking on the 3 dots in the lower right. The Settings window came up with the Vault open behind it. I closed the Settings window and there was the Vault. After that, opening up the Vault window always worked.

I use Windows 10.  I experienced exactly the same glitch, in which I try to open the vault and it immediately closes the window and I can't get into the vault.  This happened today and last week, too.  Today I tried closing and reopening the Chrome browser which did not fix the problem.  Restarting the computer did fix it, even though I had literally just restarted my computer for the morning when I noticed the problem.  Additionally, there are some websites that don't ever respond to the vault even though I have entered them into the database--this has happened since I became a Norton customer a couple months ago.  This is frustrating because the reason I got PWM from Norton was to not have to remember and enter complex passwords.  Really not happy with Norton.

@gbbrobin In your first instance please review this article.

Not all websites will allow auto insertion of credentials via a scripted browser extension. This is NOT an Norton extension issue. I experience the same issue with my military retirement website, DFAS (Defense Finance Center) and others. This is to protect the information being used to login to their resources. Spambots are extremely good at gathering that information and attempting to use it against you.

Your PWM version should also be 7.5.148 on Chrome. I use Opera GX which also uses the Chrome extensions without issue. The same version is also the latest for Edge Chromium on Windows 10 / 11.
