Product Announcement: Norton Security 22.23.4.6 for Windows is now available!
Norton 360 Smart scan was hanging on advanced issues and would not complete. Therefor I uninstalled Norton 360 and reinstalled it. Now I do not have a smart scan at all please help me solve this issue. Yes I did run a full scan and power eraser but nothing seems to work.

Thanks for your speedy reply! Running LiveUpdate and "restarting" three times did not solve my issue.

I have same issue on both of my computers at the same time - "Norton 360 Smart scan was hanging on advanced issues and would not complete". I have not uninstalled and reinstalled as it seems too coincidental that both computers experience the same issue at the same time. I am in Australia. Any ideas?

As bjm_ suggested.... "Please run Norton LiveUpdate and Restart (not Shut down) machine. Repeat." is the best thing to do!
It seems that Norton's system needs time to adjust to your/our changes (reinstall etc) and is not instant is why smart scan is missing.
Therefore if you wait a while after following bjm/s advice you will find that the smart scan command button will return out of the blue suddenly.
Unfortunately the advanced issues still seems to hang but it seems to work/finish if you run it again most of the time.
