The Norton family client keeps disabling itself

On my son's laptop, the Norton family client keeps disabling itself and I receive an alarm saying "Norton Family is disconnected. Please reinstall the program" I have done that a few times but it just repeated itself.

Does anyone with the same problem?

Hi CPetersen,

Thanks for reaching Norton Family forums.

Upon analyzing the backend data, we could see that the Norton Family files were tampered. 
This is the reason you are getting an error message "Norton Family is disconnected. Please reinstall the program".

Please check if the child logs in using a Standard Windows user account instead of Administrator.
This would help in preventing tamper of Norton Family product required files.
