Norton App Lock

Norton App Lock changes the Norton Service status from enable to disable by itself. With this situation, Norton App Lock no longer asks for the password or fingerprint to unlock the apps. How to solve this situation and prevent the service status change to disable by itself? Thanks.

Re: Norton App Lock

A couple of other threads that seem to be the same as what you are seeing. In those threads it seems to be an issue with the proprietary  changes made to the Android OS that interferes with the Norton app services.

Here is a quote from one of my Norton contacts on this issue.

There are some manufacturers with customized OS that totally kill app processes shortly after an app is closed. This happens regardless of battery optimization being disabled and apps allowed to run in background. This is not Norton specific and is going to be pretty noticeable with apps that make use of Accessibility.

So you can try checking for an battery optimisation settings and turn them off for all Norton apps. Also check for allowing Norton apps to run in the background.

Other than that, you can try contacting Samsung support to see if they have any suggestions on how to stop their OS from closing the Accessibility Service for the Norton apps.

Re: Norton App Lock

I did all the recommendations. I let the app without limit to use battery and run in background. This works fine for Norton 360 but no effects to Norton Applock. After few days, it stopped to had accessibility service permission without no warning. :(

Re: Norton App Lock

So it looks like it is a manufacturer specific issue. Try contacting Samsung support to see if they have any insight into why the Accesibility Service is getting turned off.
