Seeing pop ups from Norton sell other Norton products

I've been a Norton's user since the early 1980's.  Due to the pop-ups, from Norton's, and all of the ads trying to sell other Norton products, I think it is time for me to leave Norton's.  All I wanted was a basic internet security program, like Norton's had back in the 1990's (believe it or not, Norton Internet Security came on three 3 1/5 inch floppy disks), and not all these added options I don't care to make use of.  Even if I go into settings and turn off notifications, Norton's ads still get through.

 If i use the NRT, to remove Norton's, will it remove all traces of Norton's or do I have to go in and manually delete Norton files?

IMA!! There WILL be residual folders left by the NR&R tool after the removal. You will need to locate each one and remove them with a final reboot to rid your system of left over files.

Unwanted emails are easy to exclude; if you're email savvy.
Have 'em arrive 'BLOCKED', they don't arrive.
Make a 'RULE' to send 'em, anywhere you want.

Another reason I'm leaving Norton's, is someone changed the title of my comment.  I guess to remove the comment that I was leaving Norton's.  Someone changed the title to a non-descriptive title.  I've already purchased another product and just waiting for my Norton subscription to expire.  Bye
